Along with seeing a portrait come to life through print, I'm inspired by people and their own amazing stories and journeys.  I won my first 35mm film camera when I was in the 6th grade.  I worked my booty off, selling magazines just so that I could "buy" that camera.  It was the beginning of something that I had no idea at the time would be become my profession.

I worked for many years in higher education, helping and assisting families maneuver the financial burdens of obtaining a college degree.  While I thoroughly enjoyed working with students, my creative side yearned for something different.  My dad, who is the reason my middle name is "Lee", always told me that I needed to do something that made me happy as I would be working for a long time.  That always resonated with me and with a leap of faith, a driven desire to learn, and a career that would be flexible in raising my boys,  I established Michelle Lee Photography in 2012.

I love photography for many reasons and feel so honored to be able to give my clients heirlooms of moments that they will treasure forever.  I vow to never stop learning and improving and for this reason, I attend many workshops, conferences and am a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International organization.  Quality, Safety (especially with newborns) and Service are things that I take to heart when it comes to your experience with Michelle Lee Photography.
